Arizona Fishkeeping For Freshwater & Marine Aquarists

This is a great book. It is laid out very well, the information is easy to locate and understand. It has the typical species and a few that the other books don't. If you are looking for a book on what to put in your tank this is the one because it spells out care, needs, and compatibility in a simple color coded system. Also, the introduction to the book states that the scientific information was checked by Dr. Shimek. If you've read the blog and seen the other book reviews you'll know Shimek's information has proved itself to be valuable.

This was the first marine book I purchased because I used the freshwater version all the time. I recommend this to the beginner, especially those looking to do fish. The book as a nice system to indicate how hard something is to care for and which I have found to be accurate.

This book was a nice surprise. It's small, and from a series for beginners. Normally I would be turned off by this, but I found plenty of awesome explainations in this book. It increased my knowledge and understanding of reef systems and how to take care of them. This book is high on my list and comes from Shimek again so the author is reliable

This book is very specific as far as topic is concerned. If you plan on setting up a small tank (tiny) then this book will help.
